Kitchen Medicine: Fire Cider Workshop with Siani

Join us for a lil' seasonal kitchen herbalism taught by our in-house clinical herbalist on Saturday, November 7th from 12:30-2pm in our Venice garden.

Fire Cider, first coined in the 1980’s by grandmother herbalist Rosemary Gladstar, was born from the intention of bringing medicinal herbalism back into people’s kitchens. This hot, spicy, and sweet vinegar tonic has since become an herbal legacy recipe and a true people’s medicine! 

Together we; will make our own fire cider using organic, seasonal ingredients. You’ll build your own jar to take home while we taste the warming tonic, explore its history and traditional uses, and learn about the herbs and foods that make fire cider a beloved preparation for supporting digestion, circulation, and seasonal wellness through the colder months. We’ll also explore fall and winter energetics.

About Siani

Siani Naylea is a Clinical Herbalist and educator who believes plants have an inherent way of guiding us back to our truest selves. Rooted in foundational herbalism and the pillars of health, her work explores how tending to our bodies, our relationship with plants, and the natural world can create more space for connection, well-being, and creativity. Her classes are grounded, conversational, and welcoming; no prior knowledge of herbalism is needed, just curiosity.
